'Magic Cream' is applied to numb the area for the anaesthetic.

After the 'Magic Cream' is applied, Keisha returns to the playroom to wait - she makes me some dinner! The playroom is well equipped with activities, books, a TV, Video, and well stocked kitchen!

Keisha has changed into her gown and is ready to go down to be anaesthetised (the bandages on her hands are just to prevent her removing the cream).

The machine looks a little menacing, but Keisha will just try to blow up the green balloon which will make her a little drowsy.

Keisha is breathing in and out to blow up the balloon.

She is now out for the count and I leave her there and return to the playroom to wait for her. She will first be brought to the recovery room after the surgery. When she comes round we will go down to the ward for her overnight stay.

A few hours after surgery Keisha feeling reasonably well. When she came around she was very angry and exclaimed "I told you I didn't want to be here!"

I felt awful having put her through this again, but it probably won't be the last time...
